5G means 5th Generation Wireless Network. This network will give us faster internet, but at what cost? 5G does not travel through buildings as easily as 4G (4th Generation Wireless Network). This means we will need a radio frequency (RF) transmitter every 2 to 10 houses. This amount of radio frequency has not been tested on humans. We do not know the cumulative effects of massive amounts of RF. We do know, however, that RF causes cancer. In May, 2011, the World Health Organization announced RF to be a class 2B carcinogen (cancer causing). We know that RF is dangerous, yet we are willing to allow our neighbourhoods to be inundated with it. Maybe not willingly. The majority of people do not know that this is being installed. The majority of people do not know that RF (cell phones, cell towers, Wifi, baby monitors, cordless phones, etc.) causes cancer.
Maybe it is time to open our eyes and decide whether faster internet is worth the risk to our health. Some people say, "What you don't know, won't hurt you." In this case, it might. People who have been overexposed to RF may have developed Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity (EHS). Symptoms may include; nausea, headaches, migraines, ringing in the ears (tinnitus), inability to concentrate, unexplained fatigue, insomnia, rashes, pain and aches in muscles, heart rhythm disorders, and more. Some of us have chosen not to have Wifi in our homes, due to health concerns. Is it fair to force this RF into our homes?
