I have friends and clients who have been excited to share all that they have learned from their Fitbits. They talk about what they have learned regarding their heart rate, calorie intake and sleep patterns. I believe knowledge is good, however I also know that radio frequencies (microwaves) cause cancer. Wearing a Fitbit 24 hours a day is like sleeping with your cell phone. In May, 2011, the World Health Organization announced radio frequencies (RF) to be a class 2B carcinogen. Since then, thousands of studies have linked RF to sleep disorders, headaches, nausea, skin rashes, brain fog, and cancer. The RF inhibit the bodies production of melatonin, which disrupts your sleep patterns.
Your body heals while you sleep. Sleeping with a Fitbit, or your cell phone, is like having someone poke you with a pen all night long. The RF stimulate your cells causing an interruption in the communication between cells. RF are part of the electromagnetic frequencies (EMFs).

My advice: If you want to wear a Fitbit, take it off at night, and move it away. Unplug everything near the head of your bed. If using your cell phone as an alarm clock, put it on airplane mode. Keep your cell phone away from the head of the bed. By creating a space with reduced EMFs, your body will be able to heal while you sleep.
